EVILGARD is a fully offline single-player fantasy RPG with the familiar feel of classic MMOs. Your journey begins on the harbour island of Morgenwacht, with handcrafted quests, exploration and tactical party combat. Built by a solo developer using the Godot engine, the game brings together a persistent world, stories of its own and occasional genre shifts, with a dry sense of humour running through its classic role-playing roots.
The feel of a classic MMO in a self-contained offline RPG. Character progression, equipment, quests and world states persist.
A harbour, settlement, wilderness and the Alte Wacht form the starting point for a world of stories, secrets and hidden places.
Quests and dialogue with their own voice and dry humour. The world and its content continue to grow.
Story companions are planned as full party members with their own stories, dialogue and combat roles. Early party combat can already be seen in the development screenshots.
Resource gathering and collection foundations are implemented. Active crafting, further class content and independent economic actors participating in markets are part of future development.
Special genre shifts complement the RPG, including top-down naval combat and a still-experimental point-and-click section.
Early Access begins from mid-November 2026. The overview below separates existing foundations from future development; it does not promise that every planned feature will be included at the start of Early Access.

Planned content may change. No fixed dates are given for later development milestones.
All gameplay images show work in progress, not the final game. Naval combat is one of the special genre shifts. The two point-and-click images show the still-experimental section in German and English.
